    Look into garlic treatments for ick in a reef tank. It's works very well. That being said a large water change will not do anything for the ick problem. Really the ick is more than likely a product of high nitrates. The fish gets stressed due to the high levels of N, which in turn makes them less able to fight off things like ick. Look into algae scrubbers for a long term fix for high nitrates.

    I did a 50% on mine but that was only because I could not make up enough new water to do 100%
    A guy in our reef club has done a few 100% water changes with no issue. ESV salt says if can we done with their salt so he was testing to see if it was true.

    I've done 100% on a FOWLR (+ a couple of indestructible mushrooms and such).
