lol i think i have become coral obsessed already and have been looking around at all kinds, i'm worried though that with puffer's reputation's about not being reef safe i may not be able to keep everything that i would love to have, and since that i wouldn't be able to keep all the cool corals i would want to return him to my LFS so i can have an awesome reef, but i guess i'll just work with my puffer and hope he won't eat all of my corals

i know, any idea of "bad tasting corals" i've heard from a lot of places that puffers will leave them alone, but i have yet to find out what the bad tasting corals are. Oh yea i also plan to keep him with 2 clownfish as well, but they might not survive long with him but i guess i'll just see how it goes

I have a porcupine and he leaves my 3 stripe damsel and my lionfish alone. Generally, if it's small and moves, they will be curious to bite it. Puffers are very "proceed with caution" type of fish anyway, usually by time you see something not right, it's too late.
As a side note, I read you are having construction in your house. Make sure the tanks you have a short of being hermetically sealed. If overspray or dust get into the tank, it can cause more problems than you will ever want to experience. I had my house remodeled after a water pipe flood and the contractors did not seal my tanks and got paint overspray in my tanks. My contaminants and phosphates wiped out my 150G and 65G tanks, my 4 year old puffer, lion and sting ray died because of it. The contamination haunted the tanks for almost 4 years, everything I put in died, even the life on the rock. I am barely getting the 150G back to life now, 4 years later.
