    They apparently have a GFO binder in them so they are better than the old aluminum based ones, but it costs $60 for a pack of 3. For another $20 or so you can buy a complete reactor, pump, and GFO media and have a setup that has been proven to work very well. Not sure how long these last but there is a chance of them leaching nutrients back into the water once exhausted. ;)

    For my purposes, a little space saved in the sump would be a nice thing, even at a little extra expense.
