I ordered some plumbing parts & misc. from a reputable online fish store. The order was well over 100 bucks. I tried "Priority Mail" thinking it would arrive before Christmas and I could work a little on the tank over the holiday. That was on the 21st!! Here we are on the 28th & no package!! I tracked it and said "delivery on time....12/29/09"? Talk about "snail-mail", this is more like "Turbo-snail-mail"!!!!

Has a ever experienced this? :-[ :toilet: :bigcry: :end:

Thanks RoCkS, the response was, ".....prioity mail is us putting all ordered merchandise into the mail the same day we receive the order/payment. From their, the freight companies take over." Does that make any sense at all? I paid "PRIORITY" for a 7 day wait?

That is the first time I've seen that from a reef supply company. I always thought when they said priority mail it was the actual USPS product which actually is 2-3 days per the postal service. You can always add a few days to shipping time around the holidays.

Yes it sucks. This is why a lot of sellers wont even try to ship at this time of the year. You can contact USPS and try to get a refund on shipping.

USPS is the worst and hardest to track shipping methods of the "big 3". I'll always go with UPS or FedEx if I have the option to use ground/3day with them. Sure you pay a bit more, but they're mostly on time and their high visibility make it worth it to me.

Here's an example of how unhelpful the USPS tracking function is:
    Date Time Location Event Details
    December 29, 2009 05:26:00 PM --- Arrival Scan
December 23, 2009 05:13:26 PM Lexington KY US Shipment has left seller facility and is in transit

Well, that's great, it arrived somewhere yesterday?? (wasn't my mailbox)
