And not have any ill effects?
My power was out for probably 24 hours and I didn't notice any problems. Temp outside was 70-80 so that helped.

I was without power for a little over 48 hours in the dead of winter thanks to an ice storm. I lost one fish and the rest survived.

Wow, I thought mine was out for a while. My tank survived for about 5 hours without power. Now, keep in mind this was in winter and I wasn't at home to do anything. But I feel better to hear those who have had it out for much longer with no or small effects.

What did your temp get down to? Being home makes a huge difference.. I can hook up the car inverter and atleast get a pump or heater running.

The longest period for my reef tank without power was around four hours. During the outage, my son and I took turns aerating the tank with a large 24 oz plastic cup.

Down the road, I'll probably purchase a electric power inverter that I could run off my car battery.

We lost power in the dead of winter. Everything in the tank did pretty good for the first 2 days but after that it was an inexorable slide to disaster. By day 5 everything was dead so I'm not sure that I can really take credit for the first 2 days. I did learn something though and I swore that "As God is my witness, and God is my witness they're not going to lick me. I'm going to live through this and when it's all over, I'll never go without power again. No, nor any of my folk. If I have ot lie, cheat, steal, or kill. As God is my witness, I'll never go without power again."** And so my standby generator was hooked up 3 weeks before my new tank arrives.

13 days because of a huge snow storm. COuldn't even make it out of the driveway.
Everything died and it was tragic( there was a flatworm on the LR though.)
Everything survived in my 55 gallon goldfish tank though because i think they went into hibernation mode.
