Was looking for a LFS in the area of where i will be moving.

Went in one and was looking around. Aiptasia in EVERY SINGLE TANK they had, even the live rock tank.

    Salesperson comes up

    him: can I help you?

me: just looking to see what kind of corals you have

him: you should try a couple of these (talking about aiptasia). They are very hardy and easy to take care of. We had a couple pop up in our live rock tank and they reproduced really well so we moved some into our other tanks.

    me: got anything else?

him: not really right now. As you can see we are really stocked up on these right now so we haven't ordered anything else

SMH, you have got to be kidding me

    1) A HOB power filter is all you need for flow and filtration.

    2) Frozen brine shrimp is all any SW fish needs.

    3) A sand-sifting star, mandarin, and diamond goby would make great companions in a newly-cycled 29g tank.

    4) And of course the old classic, "fish won't outgrow their environment".

All this from a LFS that had 50% off fish sales the same day their shipment arrived. They went out of business after only 2 years...

Unfortunately yes way. I was kind of surprised, the store was in a nice area had a decent tank setup, and looked good from the outside. Then I went inside a was severely disappointed. We'll just compare their inventory and staff to a SW version of the walmart fish dept. Bad and limited equipment for sale, poor quality live stock, just not a good experience.
