 I can't say that I've ever swallowed any water but I have gotten a mouthful more than once. Whenever that happened, my instant reaction was to start spitting, regardless of where I was at the time. Made for a pretty picture I'm sure.

Wow, I cant believe that no one mentioned this one. I was working at a LFS in high school cleaning tanks and an anemone had died over night. The owner told me to clean out the anemone but didnt tell me how. Well I got a net.... wow. I didnt realize that a dead anemone should never ever ever be exposed to air. That smelled worse than anything I'd ever smelled. The owner came back in the fish room due to the smell and had me use a syphon to get the rest out.

My girl encourages me to buy fish... she told me last week that every week she visits, I WILL BUY fish...lol She was getting upset that everytime we go to the LFS, I would look and not buy anything.

I currently have more than I am equipped to keep and need to get my 41 gallon up and running.

The worst thing I ever did was completely cleaning the inside of a 900 gal acrylic tank. It was completely encrusted with calcium deposits and other fun stuff... took me days!

dude, phyto is bad even when it isn't rotten! i've gotten a mouthful or two sucking on airline to start a siphon but all in all it wasnt too bad. my wife on the other hand had the pleasure of peeling our carpet surfing goby off the floor. she made it very clear that if she ever had to do it again, the tank would be promptly removed.
