    Yeah I kind of panicked when I saw them and searched. I got the link that Hackem sent me too. They are filter filter feeders and can eventually manifest into tube worms when they calcify if I'm not mistaken. One of mine has formed a hard shell and the feather duster will pop out at dusk.

    Ok i'll kill them off as there mainly on 1 rock - theres a few others here and there can i tweeze them off - or is it a nuke thing

    That kind of hydroid isn't dangerous

    Digitate hydroids are a problem to many reefers whose tanks have them. They can sting you or your corals. They have 'caused some folks to break down tanks entirely. On the other hand, they may not be problematic for you. I have them in my tank and they don't seem to bother anyone. But the literature says they are no good.

    cool thanks for the responses - i got the out 1 at a timeto beon the safe side as there weren't many used a turkey baster and blasted each one in and out a few time, that and a lil bit of a scrape for the odd one and they came off including route into my baster i now hopefully no longer have these, many thanks for all the responses
