Whats this in my sand?

    So I noticed that when I look at my sand that is up against the glass is see redish orange lines spread throughout the length of the tank. What is this? My tank is still cycling and is almost 3 weeks old.

    It's some sort of wormhole. I have the same thing; you're fine (probably).

    diatoms... common when the tank is first cycling... they will go away on their own in a week or two.

    You say worms and/or diatoms. I say it's an orange line in the sand fairy in her magic VW van.

    No telling which of us is right without pics :p

    (I bet I'm right.... darn orange live in the sand fairies...)
