    I've got these red shoots sprouting . They are growing real fast, are they good or bad? What are they? Your help would be appreciated. K+, later.....

    Looks like a Macro algae of some sort. I cant remember its name though.

    i have the same thing! one site sold it as branching red macro algae. but thats alot of things. i would love to find out the name though. but its probably good though

    I think its flame algae. I have a lot of it growing on a few rocks. My tangs love love love it!!

    Don't kill it....wait until you see it flouresce when it grows out. It can put many corals to shame.

    It's not Nemastoma (which is what I've told people it was for years incorrectly). John will tell you what it really is. (I forgot).

    it might be a form of rose petal red macro. i'm with you on this one though pm if you find out what it is

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    I believe it is Scinaia companata.

    When in doubt Saltcorner, Bob Gomen's site is a wealth of information when it comes to marine algaes, corals, and inverts.
