Received today my aiptasia-X and killed some aiptasia but as I do it, I see this hairy thing sticking out from a rock so I thought it was another aiptasia so I went ahead and put some of the solution as well. Then i guess he had another connecting hole and came out of another maybe it didn't like it either but it didn't die yet. It looks like a star to me but I could be wrong. Anyone ?

Regular size brittles get BIG, but the minis stay small - like a few inches at most. I have a bunch in my tank, that's almost a year old, and they haven't really grown at all. They are about 2-3 inches in diameter including the legs.

There are different varieties of them..unless it's literally a baby it probably won't get much bigger than an inch or so across. But you'll have quite a few of them before you know it.

Got some in my tank too!! I have all sizeas though. I have big ones that I think I am convinced they are stuck in the rock with 3-4" legs! LOL!! But some of them are small like not even an inch to 1". Good for your tank
