My Coral Beauty Angel was looking fine just a few days ago, now I noticed it pecked at my brain coral, most likely my feather duster and possibly even my frogspawn, all that in the last few days (I'm trying to get it out)
I took a pic of it since I noticed its face looked weird .... what is that ?

that's what I'm thinking too, I've had it in for a few months now (since April I think) and it just started touching corals, now I have to catch it :p

If you have been trying to catch it it is most likely just abrasions from the chase.

This is not abnormal for angels to nip/eat corals. I would keep an eye on him and make sure hes not making short work of the corals.

I never seen a hit like that before to a CBA but I don't think that is a sting either... I mean the main damage that is most noticeable is the lip but if you look closer right above his eye it looks like he has been scraping against something... either way it goes I hope everything turns out for the best and I have no clue just trying to help ^^

it pretty much happened overnight (about the same time one of my brain corals got a chunk eaten out of, the coral is all eaten by now and I still haven't been able to catch the damn fish ...) I've also seen it try to get food out of the anemone and the frogspawn ....
