    My leather hasnt opened up in about 5 days now. It did this once before for a couple days then it opened back up and looked healthy.

    It still looks healthy just wont come out. Everything els looks good. I havnt tested anything beside salinity and checked temp.

    Is this normal? Heres some tank pictures.

    Leather corals (Sacrophyton sp.) sometimes shed a waxy film to rid their surfaces of attached algae or detritus. They may remain closed for a few days before shedding this film, but it is usually a normal process. Strong water flow can help slough off the film layer.
