    I have some as well, and mine tend to open up a little more than that usually (at least, from what I can tell).

    Another thing to look for if they're not totally open is if any of your fish are harassing it.

    Yea same thing here! I don't buy any polyps like them anymore unless its a wicked cool zoa. It always seems like mushrooms, star polyps & such grow too quick & I end up needing that room for other corals. But they're a good starting point when your new to reefing. Very hardy! But looks like the flow might of been too much for them.
