    This has been gradually going on for 2 days now, is that normal or does this happen faster.

    Would an iodine dip help or hurt in the event this isnt just a shedding?

    By the pictures i would agree its shedding. Has it decreased any in the way that it has the "shedding" look?

    Its got a little bit of a shedding look. its still white on the top but it deffinetely has a film thats coming off of him. thank you all for the info and help, if the condition changes I will definetely post it.

    I just wanted to update everyone, he is deffinetely doing better, the white is now a dull brown and the shedding is gone and his is returning to his normal texture.

    Thanks for the update. ;)

    To answer your other question, how long it takes can vary. For instance, my Colts may close anywhere from 3 days to a week. But when they open and shed, they're bigger and more beautiful than ever before. This usually happens every 6 to 8 weeks.

    Looks much better.

    Can you list what interventions you did. Or was it just incidence of waiting for it to shed.

    I just made sure the water quality was good and kept an eye on him, everyone here said it was a natural thing so I left it alone and just did what i normally did and he got better. What a trip.
