What's Your Biggest Reefing Pet Peeve?

Mine is keeping corals glued to rocks. I dunno what to use for them all. I have a problem loosing zoa's, and my kenya tree keeps comming unglued!

 

AIPTASIA. I HATE it. It's ugly, annoying and just when I think I got them all, I find more.

 

When I go to the lfs with my girlfriend and I say pic something out.... she pics something not reefsafe everytime... or I dont want it in my tank

 

My biggest pet peeve is not having an unlimited amount of money. Because with this hobby, there is always something else that you "need" for your tank.

 

Then you look like the bad guy. I use to have to deal with that. Then she got reef savvy for the most part.

 

I hate changing RO/DI filters.

 

Ick. I don't think I've bought a fish yet that didn't break out after getting it home.

 

siphon lol moutfull of fish poop and salt water is not my idea of a diet .. ive leared to coil the hose in the tank so i dont have to eat another mouthfull of salty poop water its a pain youll knock everything arround your tank till you get use to it

 

1. People repeatedly asking the same question bc the good advice they received wasn't what they wanted to hear.
2. LFS's taking advantage of new to the hobby people just to make a buck, especially when it's your father and younger brother.

 

heres a couple biggys for me

suction cups on equipment i have 2 cheepy sunsun power heads i baught when i got into this hobby and thay work well but once and a wile one will fall and with a sand bed turns my tank into a snow globe WTF . not to mention my heater will not stay put i gave up just try to prop it up so it dont go all floaty on me

trying to keep my nitrates below 20pp i can change water everyday next day back at 20pp i can go 3 weeks no water change still 20 i baught 3 diffrent kits all read the same
i had them down to unmeasurable next day 20pp i need a sump
