What's your career/job?

I'm an orthodontist in Toronto, Canada. I know it's cliche, a dentist/orthodontist with a fish tank, but mine is at home rather than in my waiting room. If it was at my office I'd never see any patients.

 

I'm a Food technologist/regulatory specialist in Uxbridge, Canada. I put together seasonings and flavourings for the food industry (mainly meat) and make the product labels. The best part about my job is eating all the product we make!... the hardest part is not eating it...

 

i originally wanted to work in the construction industry , and thats what all my schooling entailed. but ended up in the financial industry. im a market maker on the toronto stock exchange. all in all, im glad im where i am compared to what i might have been doing.

Currently partners with my Brother running a Pizzaria and Drafthouse for the last 18 years "I am 28 so its been in the fam for a long time" Also work as a part time Paramedic for Inlet Vol Amb. In my spare time I work on computers, Consult for small and medium scale networks and do general IT Trouble shooting.

 

Im a bar/club DJ, I DJ every friday and saturday night, and rarely but sometimes during the week for partys/ect. (best job ever, I get paid good $$ to drink and chill with friends)

I also Bounce/unofficialy manager at a Bar 4-5x a week, actully as I was reading this thread my boss (the owner) called and asked me to look at the camera's tapes tonight cuz something may have happend.

Im also starting (slowly) a small business in installing and consulting home theater and tv installs/ect.

 

I've been a court stenographer for 27 years now, transplanted from Buffalo, NY. I'm also a certified fitness instructor but don't have time for that right now. I've heard and seen some CRAZY things over the years!!

 

I am a BMW Master Technician and have been for the past six years in Texas. Before that I lived in Northern Virginia and worked as a CAD operator.... I Love both just not alot of CAD jobs in Beaumont Texas

 

I am in the same boat as someone earlier, stay at home dad. I worked at an AT&T call center for many years. Was a manager in technical support. Quit when the @#^ started hitting the fan and became a really ridiculous place to work (started headcutting managers to make up for the mistakes the director made). I can make more money on unemployment than the jobs I have found so far and get to stay at home with my 2 year old son.

 

I own a Real Estate Development firm.

Building Contractor + Real Estate Broker

Mainly do extremely high end home builds and remodels. In addition to securing land, financing, and other required thingys

 

Probably one of the more interesting threads I've read for a while. Very cool to hear what other folks do
