The thread title says it all. I am looking for a really cool but reasonably priced wrasse to finish off my stocking. A wrasse that doesn't grow to large in size (I have a 75g), has beautiful colors and is compatible with a Coris wrasse. Oh, and it must be reef safe!

+1 to above. How much is too much money for a fish? My favorite is a Hooded fairy Wrasse.:) lol

I will have a McCosker for my tank when it is ready to add some fish.

Radiant wrasse would be my choice for a tank of that size.

Coris wrasse? Unless you mean a Yellow "coris" wrasse which is not really a coris wrasse and really is a halichoeres wrasse, the real coris wrasses are not reef safe.

The coris part concerns me as well. If you truly have a red coris wrasse (not a yellow, or a green for that matter) it'll be a terror on a reef tank when it's full grown. As a juv you can get away with one, but once he's big enough he'll turn over anything and everything he can looking for food.

I've really gotta know what the "coris" wrasse is before I can give another wrasse recommendation. If it's a red coris, I don't think a McCosker's would do too well...

I have 6 wrasses in my tank btw, including a McCosker's.

Even a s a small juvi, a red coris wrasse can wreak havoc on a reef tank by flipping stuff over all day to find goodies.

my favorite is the 6-line as it is the least likely to jump out of an open top tank. Most Wrasses are jumpers so make sure you have a lid.
