Thanks a heap and yes I've been barely able to sneek a peek on here in some time... Lots and lots going on but hopefully things will start settling in a bit.

Imagine a total stranger seeing my licence plate while waiting in line at the local dump on a clean up trip asking if that's my truck/plate. I thought he was about to tell me I was in the wrong line or something when he stuck his hand out and wanted to thank me for serving my country. I'd been out of the Marine Corps for 19 years at that point and nearly fell over. I, like most servicemen and women didn't serve for any recognition or thanks. I joined to serve. It was nearly heartstopping to me that a stranger, with a busy and mostly thankless job to do all day. Where people are usually making his life hard complaining about everything that goes along with a trip to the 'transfer station', bothered to stop even for a minute and take the time to notice the tag and say anything nice in the middle of it all...

Have to admit when I got back in my truck there was something in my eye that day.[/QUOTE]

Everyone on here, whether they post about it or not, is thankful for what you and many others have done for this country.

EDIT: ugh quoted the wrong post, but you know what i mean.

hehe don't feel bad when I replied to the two posts I had accidentally put both replys on with your quote LOL quick editing fixed it but you might have been typing when i changed it... Pray for our troops and especially for thier familys. I personally agree with whoever it was that said the family has the harder job. It's that not knowing thing that is harder (IMHO) than being in harms way even.
