Whats your skimmer smell like???

warm hardboiled eggs left out for a week. lol

 

I put carbon in my cup, it doesn't smell.

 

Mine actually smells like sandal wood

 

I just cleaned out gunk and chaeto algae bits from our skimmer where it is now working like we just broke it in. I'll let you know the smell of the nastiness in a few days time

 

I too use the carbon on top of it so I get no stinky. Now that we have a good description of what everyone thinks they smell like lets see how the skimate tastes lol. This might not be good for those of you who vodka dose only small quanities for you guys lol.

 

If there was cash money involved with me tasting skimmate...I just might consider it.

But if swallowing tank water makes you sick and too friendly with the nearest toilet, I wonder what swallowing skimmate would do to you But then again, you don't have to swallow it to taste it.

my skimmer doesn't smell like anything, it doesn't skim i haven't seen any "gunk" in about a week, i hate my seaclone, can't wait to get a Deltec MCE600 protein skimmer for the new tank, now theres going to be some nasty smelling stuff in that thing
