Just saying hello and happy holidays to all!

Always read from the forums but never posted.
I was just gifted an 80 gal... so I really want to get back into the hobby!
The guy had it for some kind of turtles... but they scratched up the glass?? Everyone tells me the scratches are permanent and just get another tank..... That there’s nothing that I can do??
    Advise? Opinions? appreciate it!

    Welcome to 3reef

If the scratches aren't too deep and you don't mind using the elbow grease jewelers paste will take them out.

Welcome to 3 reef, Salt Life Chris

just make sure it is glass and not acrylic
acrylic scratches much easier than glass - but they do make acrylic polishing kits that will buff the scratches out
