I started a "fish cycle" with Dr. Tim's One & Only. Has been a week and noticed a spike in ammonia that is falling and nitrite which is now peaking. Had a small bout of diatoms which is dissapearing with no visible cyno. When should I introduce macro algae into the 'fuge? When the tank has fully cycled or before?

I would add it once ammonia & nitrite are 0. You could (and probably should!) add pods in at the same time.

The cycle is not as important as a consistent source of organic material for them to consume. Ie. Phosphates and nitrate. I guess post cycle would produce more of that. Fish would aid this as well

I put some food in the tank every other day when I only had macro and snails. Seemed to work fine!

Put the chaeto in whenever you want, that stuff won't die due to lack of nutrients, unless you plan on waiting months to stock.

I already have a fish in the tank with the "One and Only." Feed small ammounts of food twice daily.
