    You should really always test before supplementing, otherwise you have no idea what to supplement. Wait at least 2 hours, and preferably 24, after supplementing to test again, otherwise you're going to get wild fluctuations in the readings because it won't be distributed evenly throughout the water, so you'll get locally high and low concentrations.

    You need to test before so you will know how much to add to get your numbers where you want them. And it would not hurt to check again a few hours after adding to see what happened.

    Okay, but should I do in the morning then supplement, I had been having the lfs test for me but I broke down and bought the kit
