Since my ammonia and nitrites have spiked and are at zero, and now my nitrates are spiking, I was wondering when If I should wait for them to go down before getting a clean up crew as I have read some snails can't tolerate high nitrates.... I have brown alge and now getting some green string alge.. and I am afraid it will get out of hand... but since I am new to SW... thought I would ask.. oh yea.. this tank was started with tap water FO with a little LR...... appreciate all advice.....

As you know, tap water is not a very good start, but it can be dealt with. The algae bloom will occur, and it will be a bit more profound because you dont have too much LR. I would wait until you are clearly over 1.5 months before adding any cleanup crew.
