I've determined that my tank has gone through the cycling. I have a cleaning crew in place now. I went through a brown algae bloom already.

When is a good time for me to get an anemone or coral? and what should be placed first?

Please don't think anyone here "did not like" question...or any one for that matter...

"Questions" are what we are all here for...both to ask and to try and help with...

Expect yours just got "overlooked" during a particularly "busy" posting period on forum, or was assumed to have been answered in some other recent post indirectly...or directly...

    I don't know...

But of course is a good question & answer I am sure most here would agree with...is wait, wait, wait for that anenome until you are absolutly sure tank chemistry is stable and environment is firmly established.

Anenomes are delicate and very sensitive creatures and among the most challenging for us to keep "happy" and well. Ensuring you have all other parameters well under control before introducing will go a long way in maximizing its survivability...

Lots of other things you can put both time and money into that will return great benefits and satisfaction before investing in one of these critters...esp when first starting off...

In my opinion is one of the last things that should go in tank...and even then, without lots of research, advice (and "prayer" ;) )

As with all, is ultimatly your call (and responsibility) :)

    FWIW,

    OmarD

    I agree with Omard,
Wait for the anemone, I would say 8-12 months. But I would go ahead with corals now. Take it slow one at a time let them acclimate for a week or two before adding another. there is little harm in seeing a couple of corals you have to have and getting them but try and keep it slow. The more "Stuff" you put in your tank the higher the demand for perfect water quality.

So what's it going to be. What have you been jonesing for???
