    Well I plan on having a mandarin after my 55g wide is established with a good pod population in the fuge. I want to purchase a red mandarin here, instead of a green mandarin. Does anyone know where they sell red mandarins by sex because liveaquaria doesn't and I want a male. Thanks for the help.

    Well does it actually matter? if your getting only one... well are you? because if you are i wouldnt really see a point in the difference of sex

    i belive he wants a male for the taller fin and i have to say thats somthing I would want to look fir myself.

    i had a green one that would "bow up at me" every time i went near the tank.

    The second time aroung i got a female, she was alot more personable but not a cool looking

    I have never seen them sold by sex. You might want to check your LFS for one, that will most likely be your best bet.

    I do want a personable fish haha, maybe i will just order and see what I get.

    I am not sure if in this pic the female isnt as large as the male or if thats just how males are but I like the body shape of the male more. [​IMG][/IMG]
