    A little of everything.
Over the years I have basically migrated from fresh, to FO show tanks, to FOWLER, to reef. Until recently I didn't know too many local reefers, but you guys are my friends so I still got to check all of the above. :)

I have learned the vast majority of my knowledge from the great 3reef. Without everyone here asking and answering such great questions my tank would be a soupy mess.

Started out with books (the internet wasnt what it is now back then... no 3reef) then became friends with a guy that managed the SW section of my LFS (that was 12 years ago, man im old) But for the past couple of years its been the internet and mostly 3reef. I have a couple of books that i still use but im quick to jump on 3reef for anything that i need.

Thanks Matt for doing a great job on this site ;D

    Marc.

Well, my wife and I have had fres water tanks in the past and had some really lovely oscars.

This time, she decided to go with a salt tank like she had before I met her. She brought her experience to the table, but that info was almost 15 years old. So much has changed over the years, she's really amazed.

The first thing I did, was to look for a salt water forum and I found 3reef. everyone here has been really helpful and I have learned a lot in a very short period of time. One day, I might have enough info to help someone else.

My Uncle always had a fish tank going. I used to hang out with him all the time so he inpired me to do the same. He is in chicago and we talk everyweek in reference to the tanks. Any question we need more input on are answered by none other than 3reef.

It started getting info from my LFS but they weren't much help... seemed as they wanted me to fail so they can sell me more stuff... But then I got alot of help from a friend once I was up and running steady I started using the net for most of my info.... 3reef has been good to me

+Urban_s! I think I realize now how little I knew when I started this. 3Reef has been a HUGE part of my education. Thanks, Matt and everyone!
