just curious the optimal spot for a heater that is inside the DT? next to a powerhead? next to filteration media inlet/outlet? etc..

i dont seem to be having any problems with temp but if i could turn the sucker down alittle bit and be more efficient to save on electric bill thatd be great.

    any suggestions?

As long as there is some water movement I don't think it really matters. Put it somewhere that you can't see it or touch anything living.

Ours is hidden down horizontal behind our aquascape...or...it's supposed to be anyways  As long as there's flow around it, everything will be fine.
