Where do you place your thermometers?

    Sump, although, I used to be under the impression that there was a couple degree difference between DT and sump. Recently I tested both with two different thermometers and there was no discernible difference in temp.

    EDIT: oops missed the biocube part... no temp difference there

    Heater is in the sump (when I need it) HAHA it is pretty warm out here in the desert so it's not needed to often!

    I would keep it in the sump, or in the back compartments of the biocube (which is technically a sump).

    cool. thanks alot guys! i had recently been keeping it in the back compartments of my biocubes. But was wondering if it needed to be in the DT?

    Keep it as far away from the heater as possible to give as accurate a temp as possible.

    I keep my digital probe between the baffles in my sump and the analog thermometer in the fuge.

    I like to have mine on view to be honest

    without having to poke my head around a corner to view it

    Mine's right up next to the overflow box. Might need to rethink that tho since the heater is in the overflow box, although on the farthest side from the thermometer.
