    I have always been hooked on fish. Maybe it's that I am a pisces?

    But my inspiration to set up a reef tank, was from diving and getting open water certified in Fiji several years back. Immediately I set the 35g up again from its former FOWLER days to be a reef. I have been into SW fish since I was 12.

    A friend of mind had fresh water tanks. He gave me a tank he wasn't using and I was into fresh water of all kinds for about twenty-five years give or take a year. Then on day I walked into a fish store that my brother-in-law took me to and saw their reef tank and all the other tanks they had of the salt water world and was hooked. Did my research and have been into reef tanks for five years now.

    I always loved the ocean. I used to snorkel as a kid down in West Palm(Singer Island for my south Fl friends). I was about 11 and used to go by myself while my mom worked. Man times have changed. I wouldn't let my kids do that lol. I saw sooooo many wonderful things, I still have pics I took all those years ago. Big green moreys, stingrays, tons of barracuda, all sorts of marine fish and inverts. So alot of it I think comes from that.

    I always wanted a tank but was scared of the maintenance I think. My friend had to move for a job transfer and asked if I wanted his tank. So I got a 40g tank with some live rock and sand with 2 clowns and a yellow tang for free. I was thrust into the hobby 6 years ago and haven't looked back. In that time I have researched and learned more than I could ever imagine. That tank is now my sump. I keep my inspiration from everyone on this site!

    I see an awful lot of yellow and blue tangs in the first picture of the Ga aquarium, and do I see a picasso trigger? Anyway, I got my inspiration from my cousin in Gdl,Mexico, you wouldn't believe how many aquarium stores there are in Gdl. I went to visit them during summer last year and got really interested in marine tanks, so I studied about them and here I am, regretting that decision that left me poor and hopeless(just kidding, although it did leave me poor).

    really? Guadalajara? dude I AM from there. ( i live at the US now, but i go there every summer). thats cool.

    'ive been to 2.. cant remember the name of it right now though. wished i could have bought things from there, but since i dont have a tank or anything like that in mexico i didnt... lol
