Had to fill a space under the staircase in my condo. I was going to turn it into storage space but decided to put in a tank. I though about freshwater first, used to have when I was a kid. Decided on saltwater because I like the "colors" of the fish better. Didn't know what the heck I was getting myself into or what I was doing even & the tank was a 110g tall. That was years ago though. I made lots of mistakes.....was it worth it? NO!! But here I am. :loco:

Went to Cozumel on a 10 day vacation. Learned how to dive down there and was certified in the #1 ranked dive center world wide (PADI). I've been itching to get down there again and dive more. My saltwater tank has been an attempt to bring a little of what I saw home with me.

lol me, guy at work had a 30g tank he was sellign cheap so I got it, never got it up and running. Stumbled across 3reef and well we can just say mother of god what did I begin. Found a local guy selling his complete 65g setup and well thats were I am now. I love but hate it at the same time cuz now im in the process of upgrading to a much larger tank. God I love this hobby and thats a beastly arse reef you were standing in front of.

Started diving around 10 yrs ago wanted a tank but funds were tight. Dive buddies moved away so I stopped. I have always liked tanks and had a few FW tanks but I got bored with them, Not as intresting as SW. so I tore my FW tank down and have spent alot of $$$$$ on my SW tank. My entire family loves it. We will drive 2 hrs one way on weekends going to different FS's and looking for new ones just to look at the eyecandy LOL. Most of the time we come back with something :)

My first job was in a feed store. Heavy lifting, sweeping, and keeping the wall of freshwater tanks clean. I started up a freshwater tank myself. Then several more. I was afraid to start a reef tank, but my wife got tired of the boring old freshwater stuff. The tank was an anniversary present. I doubt I will ever go back.
