Ok we'll it's about that time of the year to make a few modifications/additions to my reef...
I've been recently been thinking of installing my 10 gallon drilled fuge in my set-up..
Although I'm contemplating where I'll be installing it..
my main DT is sitting over a 3 and a half feet stand which under 2 feet i have my 25 gallon sump...
stating this where do you fellow 3reefers think I should make a cut in the drain for my fuge...
should I place the fuge in the middle have put a tee on my drainage so 1 will fall into the sump and the other into the fuge?

Or should I just tap off one of my over flows and install in beside my DT which I have room to place my 10 gallon horizontally...
then I'd have a drainage from the back of the fuge draining slowly into my sump...
    :-/
    just undecided...
please give me your inputs on this thx..

Go with the first option with the overflow from the fuge going to the return section of the sump. Also run the fuge at 1 to 4 times it volume per hour.

this being said by volume you mean how stron the overflow is hitting the surface of the fuge???

The amount of water flowing through the fuge. You want no more than 40 gallons of water flowing through the sump per hour. 10 gallons per hour would be where you want to aim.

So you have the right idea with how strong the overflow is hitting the surface.

    sounds good...
I'll be looking into putting a deep sand bed to start ...
although my sand is dead right now since I ripped my 25 gallon nano apart...
do you guys think 3 Inches of a deep SB is good enough..
