Anyone know of sites to buy colonies like Diver's Den sells? I am looking for a place or two that sells colonies on a regular basis.

Although I prefer to start with a frag and watch it grow to a colony size but
Pacific East Aquaculture, or Corals By Dr. Mac is one of the best places next to Divers Den.

And Blue Zoo Aquatics has some larger pieces although your gonna pay for 'em that's for sure.

There are a few more out there but I Will have to look for them, but to be honest with you your best bet is Divers Den becasue they have the best Arrive alive warranty out there.

I think you'll be hard pressed to find colonies available on a regular basis anywhere besides DD.

Reef Pets often has maricultured colonies available, but doesn't advertise them. Contact Gary and see what he's got at the moment.

Reef Empire is occasionally is in the same situation; contact Nate and see.

I don't normally respond to threads looking for product as I think it's a bit unethical to do so...but since our name has already been mentioned I will make an exception. I think you'll find most companies selling coral can get "larger/colony" sized pieces without much trouble. I know we have several good suppliers for LPS/SPS corals that offer nice sized aquacultured/maricultured pieces. Typically they don't sell as well as smaller/less expensive/frag sizes so you don't see them offered as much. I think anyone that is willing to take the time to work with you for a special order could help you out. Just remember larger sizes cost more up front and cost more to ship. There is no such thing as "free shipping"...all costs are calculated in on either the "front side" or the "back side" of the transaction.

Super. Thanks for the links. I knew a few of those, but got a few new ones too! I have tried to get an order setup locally, but my LFS sells 1-2" frags for $90+, so a colony would be out of my budget!
