Hello i am wondering where is the best place to buy a cheep protein skimmer(price not quality) i am looking for a bubble king or vertex i know they are not "cheep" but would a website like ebay have cheep ones. i am located in ontario canada so hopfully shipping wont be too much. it would be for a 72 gallon hevily stocked coral and hedium to heavy on fish. what is the best bang for my buck skimmer?

From other reefers is your best bet for getting those brands cheaper than normal. Best bang for buck would have to be octopus imo. good luck on your search

Those high end skimmers generally hold their value fairly well. cheap and bubblekind dont usually go in the same sentence. I would go with a quality Reef Octopus. Whats your budget?

I agree with everyone else. I would go with a Reef Octopus. As far as skimmers go, you get what you pay for ;)

Shipping from the US can be pricey, but make sure they ship USPS and not UPS.
But there are a ton of Ontario based Reef stores.

By far, best skimmer for the money- that will continue to work and work well-
    Found on Ebay

The SC150 (they have changed the model name

    or for smaller, the SC65

comes with the same pumps the big boys use.

Lot's of review threads on these.

    I currently have a SC150, works awesome.

I paid $95 new- shipped to my doorstep!
