Where to get Ro/Di water?

ok i guess i will go with distilled water because ive grown up in this town and not once in my life seen a ro/di water outlet anywhere

 

There are winn-dixies in arkansas?

these machines are like the same size as a coke machine.. usally have a bin next to them with empty 5g water jugs.. if no luck, do the distilled and save up $150 or less (if used.cragislist/ebay) for 50g-75gpd ro/di unit.

 

okay i found a guy that sells it for 50 cents a gallon...is that a fair price?

 

I guess they are more in the south cause the only grocery stores we have are country mart, hays, and walmart

 

See if they will test the TDS in front of you before purchasing water. Thats a problem with vending machines, you are at the mercy of whoever maintains, or lack of maintenance usually, and its often not as good as they think. Usually bottled distilled water at the grocery is near 0 TDS.

 

well the guy that sells it goes around and maintains like all the fancy doctor's tanks and stuff like that....but just in case, what is TDS?

 

Total Dissolved Solids, its a measure of everything electically conductive in the water and the easiest way to test if water is pure or not.
Good RO/DI should read 0 TDS.

2nd that Mariman. Don't let anyone fool you. If the guy won't TDS in front of you, 1g distilled water at WalMart is the best bet!! 80 cents ea. & I've TDS'ed it.....comes to 0 everytime!!
