where to place frag rack

    I was wondering if my location is ok it is about 2-4 inches from top of water and i have a power head pointed right at it ok? basically will my metal halide hurt it if its about 5 inches away from them

    I just got finished building a rack that sits about 3 inches from the surface of the water. Frags look happier there than they did before. Although I just have zoanthids on there atm, if you have something that likes to be deeper (mushrooms for example) they might not like it. Also keep in mind that some corals might not like having the powerhead pointed directly at them.

    I would have the powerhead pointed in the general direction but not right on them. Frags only need a light amount of flow to remove any debris on them.
