It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Do you have any kitty or dogs ?

Seems to be it would have turned up by now if it was still in the tank. A canary wrasse or similar I can understand as they hide in the sand but the 6line is pretty darn active during the photoperiod.

    Good luck.

No I don't. Just two snakes and a gecko.

I agree about the wrasses activity which is why it doesn't make sense. It would seem like something would have to be wrong for it to be inactive. But from some of the posts above it seems like it can be a possibility.

I was moving stuff into a new tank and lost a six line for a day in a tank with nothing in it. I swore it had jumped because I could not believe a fish could hide from me with nothing but water, sand, a powerhead, and a heater in the tank, but I did not see him all day after I tried to catch him that morning. I left the tank the way it was just in case and sure enough there he was the next day. I'm no expert, but I'd guess it's fine.

I have a six line and a cleaner wrasse. The cleaner wrasse hides in a small hole in a rock.He goes there every night at lights out time. The six line is always about the tank eyeballing all the rocks.

It's been four days and I fed the other night...still nothing. I'm losing hope.

Sorry to hear that. I have a six line myself and he is always out and about doring the day. Have you noticed any amonia or nitrites spikes?? I would do a partial water change just to be safe.

Yeah. Kinda figured that by now since I never found anything outside the tank. CUC must've taken care of it. Not sure why though if that's indeed the case. Perfectly healthy and thriving one night and then the next gone!! Oh well, I'll get another.
