which 14k HQI MH bulb

Got a question that I couldnt find an answer for in the older post. I am currently running 10K stock bulb in my light. I am wanting to go to a 14K bulb. I would like to know which brand bulbs others run and if they are happy with them. would you change brands and why.

I don't run MH right now, but when I do, the Phoenix 14k is what I'm going to be using, it's a very blue bulb but I really like the color of it.

 

Phoenix is the bom diggidy

 

i use xm 10000 and 14000
i only change them for growth or color enhancement
10k grows acropora fast 14 gives them good color

 

never used phoenix how is their par on a m58 ballast compared to ushio and xm

for the blog question, if you talk with xm and ushio they told me their mogul bulbs work best on magnetic ballast

 

phoenix 14k's are nice bulbs.... At the moment I am using em. I do plan on going to a 20k bulb next time around. Its blue..... But its a bright blue especially with the actinics I supplement them with. I recommend sticking with the more purple actinics than the blue version of actinics.
