I would like to get your guy's opinion on what the best anenome for me is. ive done a little bit of reasearch on some like bubble tip and carpet anenomes but i really just want one that is easy to maintain and one my ocellarius clownfish will like. but i dont want one that will eat my other fish if possible.

    Tank
    • 60 gallon rectangular
    • good filtration
    • good water movement
    • average skimming
    • 70 lbs of live rock
    • a few other small corals in tank
    • 10,000 K bulb and 1 coralife actinic bulb

carpet is a no go then, while beautiful they can kill fish, even healthy ones. i would say a bubble tip would be your best bet, depending on your lighting and your ability to maintain good parameters. In your signature it appears you do not have enough lighting though. so i would hold off till you upgrade your lights.

you probably have enough light for a bta, ive had a bta under a single pc light fixture before. i would go with a bta, they are by far the easiest clown hosting nem.

Don't get an Atlantic BTA, usually inexspensive, and WON'T play host to clownfish.

My MM carpet is beautiful, easy to keep, and hasn't got a hold of any of my fish-yet anyways.
I also have a Green BTA, that does play host to my clowns.

bubble tip anemones do not exist in the atlantic ocean, rock, tube, condy, and atlantic carpet anemones all come from the atlantic ocean. clownfish live in the pacific so only nems from the pacific will host them readily. such as btas, ltas, malus, ritteris, carpets, and several others i may have missed.

a carpet anemone is in no way a beginner anemone, ritteris and carpets are the hardest anemones to care for.

I guess it's an anenome, that looks kinda bubbly then, and won't play host anyways.

I'm glad my Carpet MM's are no problem.

When I researched it, I've only seen one single pic of a carpet and a clown, they don't host them either.

Not sure if I read wrong but I have had the most luck with clowns and carpets. My first carpet hosted my clowns within minutes.
