So ive been thinking and finally decided I want anthias but, ive gone through the lists and what not and cant decide which ones. I got an auto feeder going and I can provide fresh thawed frozen food or live food if needed 3 times a day. These will be my first anthias so I want something easy but doesnt get big because I do have a 90 but running a skimmer rated for 200 and carbon/gfo reactor with 35% water changes. Mostly small very passive fish and one rowdy blue eyed kole. I want some anthias that will shoal together and keep the upper part of the tank filled up. Preferably a harem if possible. Suggestions?

Lyretail or Bartlett's would be your best bet.

Pseudoanthias Flavoguttatus. Small, and great in a harem. Not seen often, but becoming much more readily available.

Mine were very active and great eaters. I did a tank change and stressed them out, they stopped eating, and they slowly dwindled.

I fogured they would be to bog to do a harem in a 90 or would I be ok Bartlett? I know lyertails get pretty big and aggressive so I woulsnt want it to make the aggression worst woth a harem in a 90. The red saddles seem like a good idea but how sensitive are they?

most species of anthias do better in harems. 1 male and 2-4 females. I listed those two species because they are typically thought of as the easiest to keep.

What fish are already in the tank?

Pair of swissguard basslet (breeding surprisingly), tail spot blenny, pink streak wrasse, Yasha goby and pistol shrimp and then the blue eye kole.

I have 3 Tierra Anthias in my 75 gal 1male 2 female. They're not very big at all and the male changes colors when he gets excited.

Are they pretty brave and adventuring into the more open parts of the tank?

I've been thinking about adding five Fatheads to my tank. The Bartletts are another option I'm looking at.
