I've been using the Pearl since it came out. Upgraded to the 8130 a little over a year ago and it's worn out. I'm debating whether to get the new Tour which just came out or the Storm. I played with the Storm a while back when it came out, and it wasn't very good, but there supposedly has been a pretty good software update for it to improve responsiveness. Does anyone here have a Storm? How do you like it? What about the Tour? Any early adopters there?

I also have the storm however word on the crackberry forums is that the storm 2 (odien) will be out soon so.... I would wait for it.

That said hands down the storm is my favorite phone i have owned to date the only downfall is the battery life. I purchased a second battery for mine and things have been a lot better.

Cool. How's the typing on it? When I tried it the first time it was pretty bad, but supposedly it's gotten better?

I would wait, but I need a new phone now. My pearl is ragged and locks up all the time and the keypad is not responding properly.

I just tried it out at a store - seems to work well now.

    Thanks for the input!

I think I'm going with the storm. Never thought I'd get a touch screen BB but it seems the software updates have really made a difference.

While your in the store, take a peek at a Samsung Omnia. It runs WIndows Mobile not BlackBerry but it's a super phone. I compared it to the Strom in Jan and though that Omnia was the better choice.

just a suggestion, but have you tried any of the HTC line? Like the Touch Pro, or the Touch Pro 2? Just another option. Plus, there is a million custom roms to flash taht really help with the lagging and battery life!
