That kit is good for Ph, ammonia, nitrites and nitrates, but it doesn't include calcium, magnesium and alkalinity. I don't think I have ever seen a kit that includes all of these. I use a similar kit for those basics, but I use salifert kits for Ca, Mag and Alk. They were separate kits for each and I think Drs Foster and Smith has them for right about 20 bucks. I couldn't afford to get all 3 at once, so I just bought one every payday.

Maybe some others that have more experience with Anemones can chime in for you. All I know is that they require VERY good water conditions. I just like being able to test for ALL of these things myself and not necessarily depending on an LFS that wants to sell you something. They may say that things are in the "safe" range just to try and make you buy something. I prefer knowing every week what my levels are. This also helps me know what my tank is using and if I need to add anything to it.

According to my poll, bubble tips are the easiest.
So should I get a bubble tip anemone then?

the tank has been up long enough but it is to small for an anemone unless you get a flower anemone.

Do I have enough light for an anemone?
Light is main thing I’m worried about.

When I get my water tested they say I have good water. And no, they are not just trying to sell me something.

First. They compare the color chart, and show me the test results, so I can see it for myself.

Second. I get my water checked at two deferent pet stores, and the test come out the same. (And they use different test)

If you get either anemone I suspect you are heading for troubles. Your tank is too small and you have too much research in front of you before you enter the world of anemones.

Please post your complete water parameters – not knowing your calcium and magnesium is a problem. What is your salinity at? Do you use RO/DI? How do you make your water for changes ? (temp, salinity, air ect) – a 10 gallon tank can swing easily in terms of ph, alk, temp, salinity….and the list goes on, all of which will kill the anemone and pollute the small tank causing a chain reaction, again due to the size (ie, everything else dies).

This isn’t what you wanted to hear, but its basically what everyone is trying to politely say in this thread – the best advice is for you not to buy an anemone. Invest in test kits and ensure the make-up water parameters match those of the tank before doing a water change.
