Which is weaker?

    AaRr. that combo should work well, but IMHO, the GE 6500k bulb is really yellow. Granted I had a 3 bulb retro, so you won't notice it like I did. In an 8 bulb fixture it should work well though.

    Here is something important....Is your tank going to be mostly LPS or SPS?

    Mostly SPS with a few LPS.

    Oh yeah you can! that will be able to put out a lot of light.

    Then you will definitely want to choose higher PAR bulbs. The ATI B+ is the highest PAR blue bulb out there. Actinic bulbs are almost always the lowest PAR bulbs available, which is why many don't even use them any more. the B+ type bulbs generally make the tank blue enough for most folks. the Aqquabkues will make the most PAR, but the 6500k GE bulbs make a lot of PAR as well.

    So according to that site that Dr. Fragenstein linked us too I would have a total of 2520 PAR if I used this combo. How much par should I have for a 90G sps tank?

    4 -- ATI Blue Plus
    2 -- UV Lighting 75-25
    1 -- ATI 12000K Aquablue
    1 -- GE 65000K Daylight
