Which brand Metal Halide bulb are you running currently?
    Current USA

How many watts, and what depth is your tank?
    2 150w, 14k, 17" from waterline to SB in a 75G, 48" light kit

Why did you choose that particular bulb?
Recommended by an aquarium maintenance guy, but then I stayed with the brand because I could find a low price on them and the quality seems good; customer service from Current USA is great, replace bulbs under 3 month warranty, no questions asked

What kind of corals do you keep predominantly
    LPS

Which brand Metal Halide bulb are you running currently?
    Current USA 14k HQI

How many watts, and what depth is your tank?
    150 watts, 20" depth

Why did you choose that particular bulb?
I dont know any better, but I'm pretty happy with Current USA. I have used there 10K bulb and didn't like the yellow look. I'm going to try their 20K bulbs soon just to see if I like the bluish look more. The 14k is a nice white light with a minimal blue tint. I would recommend their 14k. It is a good starting point..

What kind of corals do you keep predominantly?
I keep LPS, some SPS, Polyps, and Mushrooms. I have had good growth and coral resoponse across the board. I focus a lot on coral placement. I have noticed my polyps don't like the direct light as much as the SPS and LPS corals..

K values are mis leading. Phoenix's 14k is closer to 20K. Some 14K bulbs are closer to 10K. It is not real accurate. I went with Phoenix because so many people run them and so many people rate them compared to other bulbs. So I wanted to get in the ball park and find out what they were. Next time I can find more comparisons if I want to go a different route. But I am actually quite happy with them.

The other thing is that for as blue as Phoenix is, they have good PAR values. I wanted bluer, but not 20K. I do want good PAR... so these seemed right.

I moved to a higher wattage yes....but my corals really seem to have responded well to the Phoenix. They are growing better than ever. A big difference over my tired Coralife 10k 150w. I realize there is a lot going into that besides the 14ks... I'm just saying.
