ok now i need some advice. Ive discovered that it is not the fact that its breaking in, its the sump level. I shut the pumps off (return) and let the sump fill all the way and what do you know, 10 minutes later the bubbles went all the way up the skimmer and the neck of the collection cup is full of brown disgusting bubbles. So i dont know what to do. If i let it run for a month or so do you think it will train itself to allow a low water level? And still allow the bubbles to go to the collection cup? Do you still support your theory that "Oils needed for the manufacturing of skimmer act a surfactants and reduce bubbles" or is there no oils and the sump level is just too low for the skimmer? Or, is there still the oils and it is still breaking in and the sump level shouldnt play that big of a roll. BTW, the sump level is at 8.5 inches on a normal basis.
