    Here are my options
I'm getting a Deep Blue Professional 36x18x24 reef ready aquarium, Proflex II sump, Triton Pump, Skimmer (not sure which yet).
I'm also trying to decide on the lighting. I'm hoping to grow SPS mid level upwards and LPS and softies below. Here are my options

    1) $425 for Aquatic Life 36" R7S fixture which consist of 4 x 36 Inch 39W T5HO Actinic / Blue, 2 x R7S 150W HID; 4 x 1W Lunar LED's

    2) $500 for axspect 27 Inch razor R420R 16,000K LED light fixture
    - 12 - Cool-White 8000K LED
    - 6 - Warm-White 3000K LED
    - 9 - Blue 465nm-485nm LED
    - 6 - Royal-Blue 450nm-465nm LED
    - 6 - Super-Actinic 410nm-420nm LED

I'm so happy that you commented given that you actually have one of these. Are you able to grow SPS with it. Is it fairly quite?

figure in a year the replacement bulb cost on the first fixture will put you over the cost of the razor. go for the led.

I'm a big fan of T5's plus the halide combo has been proven to grow anything. My friend runs all radion led's and I'm just not a fan of the color splatter on the sand bed. You can see the individual led colors. Its all personal preference though as people have been growing with LED lights as well. My T5's have been providing amazing growth for me and I like that I can customize the color in the tank too.

I personally don't know about LEDs. I have the aquatic life 4-54w t5 2 150w MH and I tell you I love the combo. Since I installed the fixture I have had am explosion of growth. To me I wanted to go with something that was tried and true and I got it. Extremely happy with the fixture. Good luck.
