Just have heard of the bad ones. I have recognised tigger pods in the tank and also have seen amphnipods and the little white ones all over the glass but What are the bad ones that effect fish?

I'm pretty sure all pods are beneficial, or at least neutral for the aquarium. There are some things that look like pods but are actually smallish jellyfish like creatures that will sting your fish. If you're not seeing a negative reaction I wouldn't worry too much. If you've got a good camera with an even better macro get us some pictures!

pods can in theory get stuck to fish, but they shouldn't look like ICH. I'd suggest cleaner fish and garlic as I did in the other thread, and if you decide to treat, good luck.

Depends a great deal on the species. There are hebivores, planktivores and parasitic members in each of the groups (copepods, amphipods, isopods), then toss in protozoa and you have a great many different feeding strategies. For photo examples and links please see the zooplankton section:

I also have some parasite examples within:

Isopods have really big eyes. They look like a larger copepod with huge eyes and no tail.

Xtalreef Has good pictures of the three types of pods.

    In this link under FORAMINIFERANS........

I have something JUST like this, without the red.... Its just the little hair like things sticking off of the red. Are the hairs foraminiferans or is it the red part?? Mine look like clear tiny trees......
