which pumps to get?

    I will be buying two pumps for my setup soon. It is 240 gallon. one pump will be running a closed loop oceans motions 8-way. and the other will be the return from the sump to the tank and to also supply water to the protein skimmer.

    Tangster has been a tremendous amount of help to me in planing this out:thumb_up:. I just want to get a few more thoughts as to how loud these pumps are. This is going in my main living room and I do not want loud pumps.

    For the flow rate, they are pretty quite. I really like Dolphin pumps myself.

    But I have to ask, are you sure you want that much flow for your return pump/skimmer? I can understand the closed loop but that is a lot of flow through the sump and it will be pretty hard to keep bubble free and quite.
