So I have an option to make something of a 10 gal nano.

I have the funds for lighting, and excellent filtration

Should I make a nano 10 gallon that is themed for a certain coral?

Or should I make a nano planted tank with c02 injection, soil, drift wood etc...?

Im leaning towards the themed coral tank. I wanted to do like a nice gsp carpet along the bottom with branches of xenia reaching out above it and keep maybe one really nice looking angel...I saw this theme as a larger display tank in a store and fell in love with its beauty and simplisity...

    Whats 3reef's opinion?

i'd say guppy auqarium. I've always wanted one, but that's just me. i've always loved guppies.

    Go with the nano tank.
I would go with pastel rainbow colored zoanthids and create a canvas of beautiful and vibrant colors and contrasts to wow the senses.
Compliment this scenario with something like a Bangaii Cardinalfish!
    Exquisite!

I would go coral as well.
The only suggestion would be a 20 long instead of a 10. Still really cheap tank (I bought mine for under $30 at petsmart), and it would give you a LOT more flexibility with aquascaping and maybe fish.

I dont have room for a 20 long or a 20 tall. I already have a 20 tall reef that is doing very very well. I wanted something smaller to help master the art of nano tanks haha

Ah I see. I have my 20L that I'm making into a sump/fuge and I keep looking at it thinking it would be an awesome nano tank ::). Its become my own personal problem that consumes my thoughts and makes me force it on other people;)
