I have the option between 2 skimmers for my new tank- a EuroReef rs135 and a Coralife 220 Super Skimmer.

Which has better performance? Is there such a thing as having too big of a skimmer for a tank?

Well the Euro Reef skimmer is much better IMO no comparison really.;)As far as too big of a skimmer you will hear arguments both ways. I have heard overskimming can be bad but have to say I have seen some amazing tanks with very large skimmers on them.

Thanks Vinny. That was my thought as well (EuroReef > Coralife), but wanted some more feedback.

So I just found out the Euro Reef is not a RS135, but rather an ES5-3. It is only rated for 90 gallons. Should I look for another skimmer or will it still work for my 75?

If I should look for another, what brand is recommended?
